Welcome to Silva Kitchen & Bakery at Wakelyns
Over 120 people attended Silva Kitchen and Bakery’s fantastic launch event at Wakelyns in June.
Nicola and Lindsay will be hosting occasional Saturday morning openings here at Wakelyns (9am to midday) plus local food markets including Fressingfield Produce Market.
We will have freshly-baked bread, cakes, and pastries and when you visit Wakelyns you can have a coffee and a chat or even an ice cream filled brioche while you visit.
Next Saturday drop-in at Wakelyns 18 August. Pre-order your bread to make sure they have your loaf ready!
The Carport is fully stocked with a selection of jams and chutneys, pasta, and pasta sauces, pulses, plus cheese, yoghurt, and butter from our favourite suppliers. You can also find a selection of herbs and vegetables from Wakleyns Veg, delicious Wakelyns apple juice, willow basketry from Phoenix Willow, and art work from Kitty of Contemporary Hempery.

We are Lindsay Wright and Nicola Hordern bringing together our skills of baking, cooking, cheesemaking, milling, and teaching.
At Silva, we bake bread and pastries in the wood fired oven, available for collection on Saturday mornings where you can also stay for a delicious breakfast and hot drinks.
Silva will also be running regular supper clubs and keeping the Wakelyns Carport farm shop stocked with jams, preserves, and frozen ‘ready meals’. Silva can also cater for private events either at Wakelyns or off-site by arrangement.
Silva’s menus are designed around the rich abundance of produce grown and reared at Wakelyns supplemented with ingredients from the best local and organic sources.”
